We are launching evening group sessions for creative writers. The sessions will be held on
Tuesday 16th April, 30th April and 14th May.6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Dr. MacKay Centre (Community Centre) Page St, Moruya
Eurobodalla Writers meets twice monthly during the day. We are aware that there are many creative writers who are missing out on our group activities.
We are hoping that by introducing these sessions we will reach senior high school students and adults in our community, who have a love for creative writing.
The first session will consist of a potted history of our group and a introduction including the benefits of joining us, an outline of the minimal costs and a 20 minute writing exercise followed by a reading of the created piece and a brief critique (if wanted).
The second session will feature a workshop by noted author Ian McHugh – (see www.ianmchugh.wordpress.com for Ian’s profile).
The third session will run as a normal meeting format – write, read, critique. We will seek feedback from attendees regarding how/what they would like should the sessions be successful and they wish to continue.
To get the full benefit it would be best to attend all three session. EW is able to offer this service through a grant from Eurobodalla Shire Council. If it is successful, with enough interested attendees, the sessions will continue indefinately.
