On June 18 we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary with a lunch and other activities at the Moruya Golf Club. It’ll be a great chance for past and present members to renew acquaintance.

Special guest is D.L. Richardson, a Young Adult / Speculative Fiction writer living at Bateman’s Bay. Debbie has had 3 novels published plus an anthology of short stories and is currently writing an adult science fiction and second anthology. Seven of our current and former members have had stories published in a recent anthology of memoirs compiled from submissions for the 2013 Perfex Writing Competition. Titled Memoirs from the Bay, the book can be purchased from Hooked on Books at Bateman’s Bay. The first run sold out at the launch on May 24.

We don’t just write for meetings. Various members have run workshops during the first half of this year on ‘Show, don’t tell’, sensory description (at the Botanic Gardens) and more recently. play-writing and improvisation. These workshops are a very enjoyable way of sharing and broadening our skills.
