Literary Salon 11th October Moruya

The Eurobodalla Literary Salon | Moruya
When: today Thursday 11 October 2018, 5:30pm – 7pm
Where: Council Chambers, Eurobodalla Shire Council, Vulcan Street, Moruya
Hear the creativity of five short stories and see the works of art those stories inspired. You can attend one, two or all three Salons with new literary and artworks at each venue.

Cost: Free

In partnership with the Eurobodalla Fellowship of Australian Writers, we introduce a program of new literary works at the Eurobodalla Literary Salon. Each writer has created a literary work, which has inspired a local artist to create a new artwork especially for this event. The works will also be on exhibition at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma Libraries.

We’ll serve an elegant spread of light refreshments at these twilight events where writers and visual artists come together to inspire and spark each other’s creativity. Hear a variety of writers perform their work and see the exhibition of inspired artworks as you enjoy a delightful spread of nibbles.

Bookings essential (for catering)

2018 Eurobodalla Shire Council Literary Salons

2018 Eurobodalla Shire Council Literary Salons

Following on from the two very successful Salons in 2016 and 2017, we’re gearing up for an even bigger and better series in October 2018. This time we have 14 writers paired with 14 artists, who have chosen a sample of writing each to interpret in painting or print.

In conjunction with Eurobodalla Libraries, we’re holding 3 events in which the writers will read their works and the artists will display theirs, plus time for discussion of both works –

Moruya Library: October 11, 5.30 – 7 pm (5 writers and artists)

Batemans Bay Library: October 18, 5.30 -7 pm (5 writers and artists)

Narooma Library: October 25, 5.30 – 7 pm (4 writers and artists)

All the artworks will be on display in the libraries 8 October – 26 October.

Refreshments included. So come along and bring your friends for one, two or three entertaining evenings!
